General Fund:

The General Fund is the result of many individual and corporate donations, which together comprises unrestricted sources to be used at the discretion of the Foundation’s

Board of Trustees toward the benefit of communities it serves.

 

General Operating Fund:

Established by The UPLIFT Community Foundation, Inc. for the purpose of defraying operating costs

 

General Scholarship Fund:

Established by The UPLIFT Community Foundation, Inc. This field of interest fund allows the Uplift Community Foundation, Inc. to award scholarships in the form of restricted grants to colleges, universities, and vocational schools on behalf of students who reside anywhere in the United States.

 

Local Scholarship Fund:

Established by The UPLIFT Community Foundation, Inc., this field of interest fund allows UCF to award grants to local colleges, universities and vocational schools on behalf of students residing in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. These students would be able to attend any school of their choice.

 

Scholarship Referral Service Fund:

Contributions to this fund will be used to support the Foundations Referral Service Initiative.

 

Help the Homeless Fund:

Established by the Board of Trustees of The UPLIFT Community Foundation, Inc. as a designated fund to award grants or donations that support organizations that serve the homeless.

 

Lupus Research and Support Fund:

Established by The UPLIFT Community Foundation, Inc. to award grants or donations to those institutions or organizations seeking a cure and treatment methods of coping with the disease.

 

Arts. Culture and Humanities Fund:

Established by The UPLIFT Community Foundation, Inc. This field of interest fund allows the Foundation to award grants or donations to community organizations that promote the Arts, Culture and Humanities.

 

Research and Development Fund:

Established by The UPLIFT Community Foundation, Inc. to award grants or donations that support Science, Medical and Technological Research Projects.

 

The Robert Lawrence and Gladys Pratt Memorial Fund:

Established to award scholarships and grants that support research for lupus, arthritis and other musculoskeletal diseases.

 

Humanitarian Relief Fund:

Established The UPLIFT Community Foundation, Inc. as a designated fund to award grants or donations to support organizations that offer humanitarian relief.

Any fund that is not already established, all contributions selected by the donor will go towards supporting their initiative of choice. If you would like more information on an initiative or fund that is not listed please feel free to contact our office.
